25 random things

So a few people tagged me to do this. I'm avoiding house work so here I go.
1. I LOVE movies- as long as they end well. I hate any movie with a sad ending.
2. I play with tape- really random I know.
3. I'm the only girl in my house. I have 3 boys, a husband, and even a boy dog.
4. I LOVE my karate class. I must have a lot of pent up aggression because hitting and kicking things is so fulfilling! I've secretly been hoping that I get to try it out for real on someone...
5. I married my best friend from high school.
6. We were only engaged for like 2 months before we got married.
7. I love high adrenaline activities. I've been skydiving, rock climbing, repelling, surfing, free climbing, cliff diving, white water rafting, you get the idea. I'll try almost anything. Well, at least I'd like to. Matt doesn't let me do the really fun stuff now that I'm a mom.
8. I'm writing a book. In theory anyway. Sometimes I won't write for months, but I still think about it.
9. We are moving to Nashville, TN in May after Matt is done with dental school so he can do an orthodontic residency.
10. I get really bad second hand embarrassment for people- I can't even watch american idol when those people are awful.
11. I'm not very girly. I'm not into flowers or surprises or jewelry or other stuff like that. Matt remembers important dates and past events way better than me. II don't like drama or gossip. But I do like shoes- the higher the heels the better!
12. I'm learning how to sew. In the last two weeks I've sewn new curtains, a levi quilt and matching pillow for Owen, a some other decorative accents. Just call me Martha, baby!
13. I always weigh the same (excluding pregnancies).
14. I painted the pictures up in our house (we have no money and I figured how hard could it be?)
15. I'm really gonna miss my friends from Cleveland. They've taught me soooo much!
16. I eat dessert everyday- usually more than once.
17. I love to cook, I hate to clean up.
18. I love to do stuff for other people. I watch friends kids, take dinner to people, volunteer, etc, multiple times a week. It just makes me feel like a contributing member of society.
19. I really like to know how to do things. I've learned how to be a lot more handy in the last few years. We are in an older home and we've done a lot of work on things. Next week we are redoing a ceiling (drywalling, etc). Yesterday I changed a headlight and toped off Matt's fluids while he was studying for boards.
20. I have an idea book. I'm always getting ideas about everything. Business ideas, book ideas, save the world ideas. They all go into the book. I hope I'll get around to all of them!
21. I'm secretly proud that my son is the best burper I've every heard.
22. We travel a lot.
23. I'm really going to miss cleveland- seriously.
24. I get along superwell with my in-laws. I'm as close to them as I am to my own family. I'm really lucky.
25. I'm married to the best-looking, smartest, funniest guy I know- so that worked out pretty well!

Rock band

Another one of the fun wii games. Everyone, including Nana, got into Rock band!

Nana's class

As if we didn't have enough fun stuff to do, we also get to go into Nana's class at school. She teaches a multi-age 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade. Matthew loves it. He can do a lot of the first grade stuff and the kids love helping him. The other boys like to go in and play with the different toys, chalk boards, read books, etc. This year Matthew even went with the kids to specials so Nana got to hear from other teachers how much they liked her grandson. Good job Matthew!

Megaplay!

Everywhere should have a megaplay! There is a huge warehouse near Nana's that has racing tracks, huge climbing things, big blow up obstacle courses, trampolines, basketball hoops, etc. We would go for hours. I think I liked it as much as the kids. THeir favorite thing to do was play on the trampolines, though, so I think I know what we will get when we move to TN!

More fun in Germany

The PX in Graf!

We got to do a lot of fun stuff in Germany. Here are a couple fun pics of the Graf PX and meeting friends in the Graf PX (Matt Caldwell, Ms. Clayton/Caldwell, Michelle Runyon). Ms. C was one of my favorite teachers, but also our student council advisor both my junior and senior year. My senior year I was the Student body president so we spent a lot of time around eachother. It was great to see her and her son again. Michelle was an old high school friend who never left the area (the only one!) Also, there are a couple of pics of downtown Weiden where we went to walk around for fun and remember the old shopping days at C&A, H&M, K&L, The New Yorker, Orsay, and of course Deichman!

Christmas morning at Nana's

Christmas is so much fun. The kids are old enough now to make it really interesting. Andrew had the best reactions both in Austria and at Nana's! I luckily got him on camera. There were so many presents and such a big mess, but we all loved it. We must've been really good this year because Santa brought us TONS. One of the big gifts was a Wii- and 13 games to go with it- something for everyone (even a wii fit for me). Matthew's favorite was a DS and the 5 games that came with it. Matt really liked the iphone the boys and I got him. Andrew really liked a blue scooter and the leapster lmax that his brother gave him (he gave him his because Drew really wanted one. Matthew had asked for a DS but wasn't sure if he was going to get it and still gave his leapster to Drew!) Owen's favorite was a rocket from aunt Jenny. I got too much to pick a favorite. I really liked the clothes, clearplay, wii fit, everything! I'll blog about the calendar Matt made me another time...

Christmas story

We try to act out the Christmas story every year. I think a lot of people have this tradition, but it is fun. It is a great photo op and Jenny and Nana are such great sports to go along with it! This year Matthew wanted to be the angel. Andrew and Owen were sheppards. Then Matthew later filled in as a wise man. Matt and Jenny were Mary and Joseph. Nana was a wise man. I get to be narrator- lots of fun for everyone!
