Christmas is work! (Sweet, sweet work!)

Let it be known that Christmas is not all play. It also includes some work! The kids took their work very seriously this year, and even enjoyed it. They worked very hard on the gingerbread house before we left for Austria. When we got back from Austria we worked very hard to get everything ready for Santa. We wrapped our presents, cleaned up, decorated sugar cookies, made a plate of cookies and celery for Santa and the reindeer, and wrote a letter to Santa thanking him for coming out of his way on his day off. This year we were wondering if our family had an elf assigned to watch over us (some of our friends do), and if we did what his name was. In the morning we found that Santa answered our letter. Our family's elf is named Buddy- just like on the movie Elf! We were really excited. No matter what we are doing, though, we just LOVE Christmas!

I am so glad that you posted. I have been dying to see pictures of your family and the holidays. Loved the house. Loved the Elf - friend. Just looking at the cookies made me gain 10 lbs. (or maybe that was all of the cookie eating I did in December...) I love the holidays, too! Sweet goodness!
