A couple of Saturdays ago I took each of the boys on a one-on-one mommy date. The boys had to wear something nice, open doors, and hold my hand. I got to take them to a couple places they wanted to go (like to Toys R Us, then Sonic, or the park, or picnic). We had a good time and I got to talk to them about treating a girl nicely. Owen was particular about my having my hair down and since he was my date I let him pick the style. Now anytime I pull my hair back he gets his grouchy face and says, "No, not like that! Put your hair down like a Kyla!" It was a big success, I think I'll have to do it a couple times a year.

lol-that reminded me of my nephew cameron. when my sister works out or is busy cleaning or doing other "work" she pulls her hair back, but the rest of the time her hair is down. so anytime she pulls her hair back he tells her to put it back down-when it's up she's "Mom", when it's down she's "Mommy". that was so funny to hear that owen thinks like that too!! and you're such a good mom-teaching your boys all those nice things.
Great job with the Mommy Dates! One of my girls favorite nights of the month is Daddy Date night. They go to get something to eat or just an ice cream cone and get to choose where to go with Daddy. Sometimes they pick a store or the video place...mostly they pick McDonalds. It is great for the kids to have that one on one time.
