Obamaniacs!

So, I've been really busy, but I just had to put in a note about our President-elect. I was really excited when Obama won (for those who haven't seen our signs, I'm a big fan). I really felt like we've witnessed something special. His speech after the announcement reminded me in parts of the players in old-school politics (the Abraham Lincolns and such). I'm not saying that I agree 100% with him, but I feel like it was an important move for the country. It was such a big moment that I think people will talk the rest of their lives about America pre-Obama and post-Obama. Hopefully, we all come together now (supporters and not) in taking an active interest in the way our country is going and fight off the apathy that so easily sets in...

Kyla, I think you hit on some good points here. I must admit, I didn't vote for Obama! But the point we have to remember is that the democratic process is the voting, and then after the winner has been named, it's our responsibility as citizens to do all we can in our own spheres to make our country great. Be involved with issues, know your congressmen and let them know where you stand on issues, etc. A country divided against itself cannot stand.
